Devotional for 4/2/11
A blast of wind and swirling clouds
The turmoil builds and the noise surmounts.
The pressure heightens till you cover your ears,
But there’s so much noise that there’s nothing to hear.
Objects are spinning and thrown all about
Trees are uprooted and scattered throughout. Just when you think you can’t stand anymore
You find the calm in the eye of the storm.
There’s no denying the frenzy still surrounds,
But God’s Peace is our refuge and His Love is profound.
It’ll soon be time to again face the storm,
But for now, in His Presence you are safe from harm.
As you linger in the calm and find your rest
Realize you’re able to pass each test.
As you walk each day facing storms and uncertainty
Find Peace in the eye of the storm for eternity.

As they sailed, he fell asleep. A squall came down on the lake, so that the boat was being swamped, and they were in great danger. The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Master, Master, we’re going to drown!” He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm.“Where is your faith?” he asked his disciples. In fear and amazement they asked one another, “Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him.”
