There is none like Job of all the men and women of the Bible, other than Jesus Christ of course, that endured such loss and pain in a multitude of ways. But what impresses me the most is that Job remained a man of integrity. Scripture says in Job 2:3 Then the Lord said to Satan, "Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil? And still he holds fast to his integrity, although you incited Me against him, to destroy him without cause."
Job held fast to his integrity, even in the midst of horrific trials he had physically and in the loss of his property and his children. His own wife said to Job in Job 2:9 "Do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die!"
Job also had three friends, Eliphaz, Bildad, and Zophar who falsely accused him of sin and mocked him. Job still stood firm in his faith and walk in the Lord.
Because Job did not waver in his belief and faith in God, the Lord blessed Job's latter days more than his beginning days. The Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before. So Job died old and full of days and a man known for great integrity.
Rich Blessings,
Sandy
Thank you so much for the reminder of how important it is for us to live a life of integrity. Others often don't listen to our words, but when our life "speaks" for us they do!!
ReplyDeleteJob is such a great example. I often read what God had to say to him when I go through trials. May we all remain faithful regardless of our circumstances, just as Job did, with God's help! Thanks Sandy.
