“THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX"
Ephesians 3:20 says:
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly
abundantly above all that we ask or think,
according to the power that works in us.
There’s a story in the Old Testament about King Joash who didn’t take advantage of the power of prayer….he didn’t “Think Big.” And what could have been a bigger victory for Israel was of lesser triumph because Joash didn’t expand his belief in knowing what God could do. The scripture goes on to say:
2nd Kings 13: 14-19
Now Elisha was fallen sick of his sickness whereof he died. And Joash the king of Israel came down unto him, and wept over his face, and said, O my father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And Elisha said unto him, Take bow and arrows. And he took unto him bow and arrows. And he said to the king of Israel, Put thine hand upon the bow. And he put his hand upon it; and Elisha put his hands upon the king’s hands. And he said, Open the window eastward. And he opened it. Then Elisha said, Shoot. And he shot. And he said, The arrow of the LORD’s deliverance, and the arrow of deliverance from Syria; for thou shalt smite the Syrians in Aphek, til thou have consumed them. And he said, Take the arrows. And he took them. And he said unto the king of Israel, Smite upon the ground. And he smote thrice, and stayed. And the man of God was wroth with him, and said, Thou shouldest have smitten five or six times; then hadst thou smitten Syria till thou hadst consumed it; whereas now thou shalt smite Syria but thrice.
At times in our lives we too need to think “Outside The Box” encourage ourselves in the Lord and get mad at the devil!! Believe God for exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. Just as Joash smote the arrows only thrice…we should take the word of God as our shield of faith and>>> Pray BIG, Think BIG, Believe BIG. Even unto this day, this is what the Lord requires of us in order to smite our enemy.
Let us not limit the Power of God with a mere shallow weak smite of belief !
Pick up your sword and swing not just thrice, but over and over and over and over and over. Amen, Amen, Amen, Amen, Amen!
The Lord speaks to us to seek his face and try Him and see if he will pour out blessings that you cannot contain. So once again “Lord help my unbelief and help me to expand my borders and “Think Big Outside The Box.”
