Isaiah 55:8-11 NKJV

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,”  says the Lord.
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways,
and My thoughts than your thoughts.
“For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven,
and do not return there, but water the earth,
and make it bring forth and bud,
that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater,
so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;
it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please,
and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

Wow…what a powerful statement from the Lord! Most often we forget nature at its best, the rain and snow that waters the earth to bring forth seed so that mankind can supply food. As this is also a reminder to me, of the many times we may have witnessed to someone or even been a witness ourselves to someone thinking that particular person didn’t understand or get it. But, just as this scripture says The word shall not return to God void, but it shall accomplish what He pleases…and it shall prosper in the thing for which he sent it.

What a reminder to keep doing what we know to do, and those wayward children, even if they are adults now….the Lord will bring to remembrance a time in their life that God spoke to them. We can count on the Lord to prosper in the thing for which he sent it. Our labor is not in vain.
