END OF YOUR ROPE

3/29/14

"But now, Lord, what do I look for?
My hope is in you."
Psalm 39:7

Probably the most devastating thing that can happen to us is to lose all hope.  I would venture to say that is why most suicides occur.  It just isn't a matter of losing perspective or not seeing a solution to a problem, but it's a matter of not seeing anything positive at all.  All looks lost -- no hope.

For the Christian, there is always hope because there is always the Lord.  It is important to walk daily with Him by reading His Word and communicating with Him in prayer.  God's Word reminds us of all of His promises towards us.  Promises He will never break.  god's Word also reminds us of His unlimited knowledge, continual presence with us, and unconditional love for us.  God is the God of the past, present, and future.  He knows all and He will guide and sustain you.

So when you get to the end of your rope just remember, that is where you will find God already there waiting for you!

  1. Such a relief that when we are at the end of our rope that Someone is there for us, willing to help us,

    God bless

  2. Yes, we are so blessed to be able to read God's Word and have our minds renewed to the truth that He loves us, cares for us, and will work all things for our good. Romans 15:13 encourages us with: "Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost."
