trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man."
Psalm 118:8 (KJV)
One
good term for the world today is "chaos." There are wars and
rumors of wars. The financial market goes up-and-down on a daily basis. The
weather is going wild with storms and natural disasters of all kinds and more
severe than we have ever known. The latest epidemic waits to rear its ugly head
and will probably have no medical cure. This sounds chaos to me.
So
how can we have confidence in our future? Don't put your confidence in
anything in this world. It is in a state of constant flux and can all be
lost in a minute.
The
Christian can rest in the knowledge that no matter what happens, God has
promised to care for each of us. We can be secure in an unchanging God in
an ever changing world.
Take
time daily to be with the Lord in His Word and in prayer and rest securely in
His arms. Trust in His unconditional love and never failing care.
Abide in Him.
