Being Inspired

God’s love for us inspired God our Father to create the cosmos just for us!

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord
Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every
spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,
4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation
of the world, that we should be holy and without
blame before Him in love, 5 having predestined
us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself,
according to the good pleasure of His will,
6 to the praise of the glory of His grace,
by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.
Ephesians 1:3-6 -

This got me to thinking that if we are created in His image (which we are), then we should also be inspired to do “acts of love”.   We already have the love of God in us and the power of His Holy Spirit abides in us.  Many old testament and new testament believers in God were inspired by the Holy Ghost to write down for us the message of His Gospel which we now have before us – The Bible. (2 Timothy 3:16)

Jesus’ promise of the Holy Spirit is there to give us inspiration whenever we choose to listen to it.  I want to encourage you to be inspired this week.  Allow God’s kind of love move you to act on your faith in such a way to bring love, joy, peace, etc. to those around you as he prompts you.

  1. In His creation God made so many things for us to see and learn about in His universe. What a blessing. I think about the fish that are at the bottom of the sea. They could not be seen until just recently when we developed the technology to go to places where the most amazing species were hidden. The same is true of space where we had no idea of the myriad forms of stars and galaxies that we could not see until the pictures from the Hubble Telescope started beaming back to us. I am amazed at the beauty that God created just because He could. Then in the rightness of tine He decided to share then with us. And in the end we learn that they were created for us. Awesome scripture was quoted in this devotional.

    God bless...
